Terms of Service

1. The service

HITCH is a marketplace where verified creators offer paid 1:1 video sessions and asynchronous feedback to their audience. Creators may also connect their Instagram Professional account so that incoming Direct Messages receive an automated reply containing the creator's booking link.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. Creators additionally represent that they own or are authorised to operate any Instagram account they connect, and that their account is a Professionalaccount (Business or Creator) per Meta's requirements.

3. Instagram automated messaging — what you authorize

By clicking “Connect Instagram” you (the Creator) authorize HITCH to:

• Receive webhooks from Meta about Direct Messages sent to your connected Instagram account.
• Send a single automated reply on your behalf to each new conversation, containing your HITCH booking link and an opt-out instruction.
• Store an encrypted long-lived access token issued by Meta and refresh it as needed to keep the integration alive.
• Show you anonymized aggregate analytics about message volume and reply outcomes.

You can revoke this authorization at any time from your dashboard (“Disconnect Instagram”) or from Instagram → Settings → Apps and Websites. Revocation stops automated replies immediately and triggers deletion of your connection record.

4. STOP / opt-out

Every HITCH automated reply contains an opt-out instruction. If the recipient replies STOP, STOP ALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or END, HITCH will:

• Add the recipient's Instagram-Scoped User ID to the connected Creator's opt-out list.
• Stop sending any further automated replies to that recipient from that Creator's connected account, indefinitely.
• Send a single confirmation reply (“You're opted out of HITCH automated messages”).

Creators may not configure HITCH templates that attempt to bypass or disable this opt-out behaviour. Doing so is a material breach of these terms and grounds for immediate termination.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use HITCH (or its Instagram integration) to:

• Send unsolicited promotional or broadcast messages. HITCH only sends replies in response to a Direct Message that the recipient initiated.
• Harass, threaten, defraud, or impersonate any person or business.
• Distribute malware, phishing, or sexually-explicit content involving minors.
• Violate Meta's Platform Terms, Developer Policies, Instagram's Community Guidelines, or any applicable law.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the HITCH service or the Meta APIs accessed through it.

6. Creator content & intellectual property

Creators retain all intellectual-property rights in the content they post on HITCH (booking page, bio, written follow-ups, video recordings). By using HITCH, the Creator grants HITCH a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, transmit, and display that content for the sole purpose of operating the service. HITCH claims no ownership over Creator content and no rights to reuse it for marketing without separate written consent.

7. Payments & refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. HITCH retains a platform fee from each completed transaction; the remainder is paid to the Creator on the schedule defined in their creator agreement. Buyers may request a refund within 24 hours of a missed or materially-defective session. Disputes are handled case-by-case at HITCH's discretion.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate any account that breaches these terms, breaches Meta Platform Terms, or that we reasonably believe is being used to send spam or abusive content. We will attempt to give notice where practical. You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@hitchme.live; closure deletes your data per the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided “as is”. HITCH does not guarantee any specific outcome (number of bookings, message deliverability, audience growth) from using the Instagram integration. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HITCH's aggregate liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the fees you paid to HITCH in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Compliance with Meta Platform Terms

HITCH's Instagram integration is built on Meta's Instagram Messaging API and is subject to the Meta Platform Terms and the Developer Policies. If anything in these Terms conflicts with Meta's terms as they apply to the integration, Meta's terms control with respect to that integration.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated date will appear at the top of the page; material changes will also be announced by email to Creators with active Instagram connections.
